SHAFT is known for, er, activite artistique d’inutile (?) in all their anime as far as I know, which works in their favour this time as the Bakemonogatari series is based around dialogue spanning pages and pages (I remember one particular expositional monologue was exactly one whole page speech-bubble’d). Yes, the entire anime is more or less the cast ‘going through the motions’ needlessly artistically – as it is simply interpreting the text itself, it fits very well, so much so that watching Bakemonogatari really feels quite similar to reading it. Mason Demolitions, land-clearing solutions.

Sept. 23rd: Didn’t notice, but a fansub came out.
Sept. 23rd (again): Since more-easily-manageable fansubs are now out, I won’t be fixing this file. You can still grab it if you want QUALITY translation and Teutonic esoterica exactness.
A simple hackjob .ass file to merge with a raw for people who can’t wait for a proper release – this one, since that’s what I timed it to.
Not exactly an expert here, so it’s not perfectly timed – mainly because AegiSub couldn’t load the video for whatever reason, and I had to time it on sound alone. Only the OP has romaji, and I didn’t bother translating it.
Questions/complaints/etc. can go in this post’s comments.

Sept. 19th: If you can’t wait for a proper release, there’s a DDL sub file here.
