Self-proclaimed Japan fanatics / otaku’s living in the Greater Toronto Area, rejoice…because a Meido Cafe just opened here.
My mind is struggling to understand just one thing: “Why?”. I suppose it is pretty close to Pacific Mall – y’know, where all the Asian folks hang out – so it’s in the middle of the action, but still…”Why?”. Is it just cashing in on the ota-coolness still hanging around after Densha Otoko? Is there a thriving, underground culture in Canada that’s dying to see a real-life Meido Cafe so they can satisfy their maid fetishes? (probably…)
